| 1979
to 2004: 25 years of providing creative solutions for dealing with
Public Opinion
Under the management team of the Members of the Board, Moritz Hunzinger
and Menno Smid, Hunzinger Information AG, which
was founded in 1979, (renamed in 2004 as Action Press Holding
AG; Company Presentation 2004 via info@hunzinger.de) ran
the following three business groups with impressive results: Hunzinger
PR (Frankfurt and Berlin), a major provider of PR services
with a network of correspondents throughout eastern Europe that
was active in establishing successful business relationships, and
experienced in over 40 IPOs. action press (Hamburg),
one of the world's leading stock photo agencies; infas
(Bonn), a renowned opinion research institute. In 1998, Hunzinger
Information AG went public and became one of the pioneers of the
German New Market segment of the Stock Exchange. The issue was oversubscribed
310 times - unfulfilled demand for shares totaled € 3.25 billion
- making the Hunzinger Information AG IPO one of the most coveted
stock offerings ever. In April 2004, following differences with
Bolko Hoffman, the new company's major shareholder, who began investing
in the company in 2002, Moritz Hunzinger resigned after 25 years
as Chairman and CEO of Hunzinger Information, Managing Director
of Hunzinger PR, Chief Executive Officer of action press, and Chairman
of the Supervisory Board of infas Institute for Applied Social Science.
At that time the Group employed over 1,600 persons in 30 countries,
of which 125 were staff members in Germany.
"The Supervisory Board thanks the chairman of the Managing
Board, Moritz Hunzinger, for his efforts that were oriented for
the shareholders' benefit and for his humane and respectful cooperation"
(Prime Minister of East Germany and Federal Minister of Germany
ret. Dr. h.c. Lothar de Maizière, Chairman of the Supervisory
Board of Hunzinger Information AG, March 2004). "Hoffmann
was able to unseat the PR strategist Moritz Hunzinger, but only
by purchasing the company" (WirtschaftsWoche, German
business weekly magazine, 2004) |
